Management of Necrotizing Enterocolitis and Feeding Intolerance in the NICU

Course Description:

This 1-hour lecture by neonatologist Dr. Maria "Stefi" Barbian reviews the management of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) and feeding intolerance (FI) in neonates.  Topics discussed include definition and diagnostic criteria for both NEC and FI, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, staging of NEC, management, and prognoses.  This lecture was part of the Neonatology Didactic Series held in December 2020 via Zoom.
